Peer: Lean Process For Gs Dunn

Posted by Thomas Cutler on: 2005-09-04 02:53:12

In the latest issue of Automation.com, leading manufacturing journalist Thomas R. Cutler, profiled the 'Executive Workshop' for Hamilton, Ontario's GS Dunn, dry mustard millers since 1867; the analytical process was PEER™ --- a unique program developed by PRONTO North America, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. PEER stands for Process Evaluation Executive Review and captures the values of Lean Manufacturing throughout the enterprise.
According to GS Dunn's President, Ron Kramer, the forty person company provides a complete line of mustard flours, ground mustards, brans, and deactivated mustard, ranking the firm as the premier supplier of mustard products worldwide.
Initially, the conference concept was to select, purchase, and reinforce the implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning System) because according to Kramer, "Our existing system was badly outdated and was not giving us the information we needed. The person who was supporting the system, no longer supported it."

Pronto North America, Inc. is widely recognized as the authority in technologically driven business solutions and process management. Utilizing innovative implementation techniques and tools, Pronto North America generates increased performance, service, efficiency, and accountability.
