Why Buying Links Helps Your BusinessPosted by By Robin Daz on: 2005-07-17 16:07:59
There are two main reasons why buying links are a good thing for your business. First of all links are a source of targetted traffic. When you buy or rent a link on similar themed websites, it drives relevant traffic interested in your website and products. Obviously this kind of traffic is more likely to convert into a sale. Second, relevant links raise your natural search engine rankings. Note the word 'relevant' here, not all links help to increase your rankings. Search engines use links in their relevancy algorithms nowadays. By making sure your website is linked to from a couple of relevant websites, you're making sure that your website will be included and ranked accordingly. This is one of the most important techniques in improving your search engine rankings. This so called 'link popularity' is, especially on Google, proving to be the deciding factor on what will or will not rank well. The quality of the links, so called PageRank, has also become a primary factor in the search engines. The PageRank is based on the number and quality of inbound links pointing to a page. As you can probably understand, after reading the above, running around the internet exchanging links with whomever is interested is not such a good idea. It is even said that listing your website on so called linkfarms will decrease your ranking. When you are willing and able to spend a couple of bucks on valuable links with similar themed websites, traffic will come and you yourself will be able to sell links on your website as well. Where to find websites that sell links? First of all you could make a list of websites that are similar themed, visit their sites and look for information on advertising text links on their website. Second, there are a lot of webmaster forums scattered around the Internet where people offer or ask for text link spots. And last but not least; auction sites. Auctions are a good place to find serious businesspartners and have all the payment options in place to help you close a transaction. And while you're searching for links to buy, you might as well put some text link spots up for rent yourself. Robin Daz founded Blazoo.com - Link & Ad Auction in July 2005. This userfriendly Ebay-style marketplace offers its members all the opportunities needed to find the right business partners and succesfully trade links and adspace. |
