How to Make Your Own Home Care Products

Posted by By Jun Gadiana on: 2005-07-17 15:55:26

Here are some of the simple formulas I would like to contribute so you could at least start your own business at home and probably save on your own product consumption.

LIQUID AIR FRESHENER

INGREDIENTS:

NONYL PHENOL ( TERGITOL ) ........... 60 ml.
OIL BASED SCENT( of your choice.. rose,
jasmin, brute, apple,lime) 120 ml.
Water....................................... 1 gallon
PROPYLENE GLYCOL ........................... 60 ml.

PROCEDURE:

Mix nonyl phenol and scent stirring slowly to fully blend. Add water slowly while stirring. Then add propylene glycol. Pack in plastic gallon containers or small containers with sprayers.

This product is good for eradicating foul odor in your living rooms, bed rooms and can also be used in freshening your cars.

TOILET BOWL AND TILE CLEANER

INGREDIENTS:

HYDROCHLORIC ACID ...................... 1 liter
NONYL PHENOL ( TERGITOL ) .............. 60 ml.
SCENT( preferably strawberry or mint ).. to suit
COLOR ( preferably blue and acid resistant)
WATER.................................... 1 gallon

PROCEDURE:

Blend scent and tergitol. Add to water. Stir slowly. Add Hydrocholric acid and color. Stir to fully blend.

The product is good for cleaning your toiletbowl, bathroom and kitchen tiles.

GLASS CLEANER

INGREDIENTS:

Methanol .............................. 1 liter
Water.................................. 3 liters
Tergitol............................... 30 ml.

PROCEDURE:

BLEND ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND PACK IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS.

In handling chemicals, you will not need more than the pots glassware and bowls. In mixing chemicals, enamelled or glass pans and bowls are preferred over aluminum.

You will also need various containers, jars, bottles, cans, etc. in which to package your finished products. It is very important to keep your working area clean including your tools and utensils. Keep all containers and bottles tightly capped to prevent evaporation and possible contamination.

My name is JUN GADIANA and I'm from the Philippines. My present business is supplying establishments of Janitorial, Industrial, Homecare and Car Care Products. I am now writing a formula book and I hope it would be out soon on local bookstores.
