Religion Articles & NewsThe Warped Psychology of Islam The London Bombings are just the beginning. Londoners are probably wondering what they did to deserve it. After all, Great Britain has proven to be a place of refuge for Muslims. Parliament to the BBC has been united in their continued attacks and twisting of truths against Israel and in favor of the Palestinians, even when Israel has been the victim of a thousand days like the one London just faced. What Did I Do To Deserve This? "You must have done something awful for this to happen to you." Has anyone ever said that to you? Have you said it to yourself? All Knowledge and Wisdom Comes Direct From God These next set of verses are the heart and soul of this entire subject matter. All of these verses are telling us that all knowledge and all wisdom come direct from God and Jesus. The first verse will tell you that all the "treasures" of wisdom and knowledge are "hidden" in God the Father and Jesus Christ. Notice that God is comparing knowledge and wisdom with "treasures" and that this treasure is hidden within Himself. Billy Graham America Salutes You America has had its great share of renowned preachers, missionaries and evangelists but none can hold a candle to the Reverend Billy Graham. His influence is worldwide but for Americans his life and ministry have been both influential and a matter of pride. That is, we are proud of him, our native son, our pastor at large, our voice of hope in the turbulent and changing American landscape. Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayers? I heard a story about a girl who wrote to a missionary. She'd been told not to request a response from him because missionaries are very busy. She wrote, "We are praying for you, but we are not expecting an answer." Story of Solomon Without question, the greatest story in the Bible of someone who sought after the knowledge and wisdom of God and actually received it was King Solomon in the Old Testament. What happened to this man was just about beyond belief. The Holy Spirit is our Teacher Now that we know God and Jesus want to release Their knowledge direct to us from Their throne room in heaven - how is this knowledge actually transmitted to us? This will now bring us into the next set of Scripture verses. Growing in the Knowledge of God This first verse completely sets the stage for you to be able to receive knowledge from the Lord. This first verse is literally telling us that God is wanting us to grow in the knowledge of Him and His Son Jesus. "... but GROW in the grace and KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18) This verse is only one short sentence long, but a lot is being said in it. After we get saved, God expects us to start growing in the knowledge that He ... The Wisdom of this World is Foolishness with God Once you start to receive the knowledge and wisdom of God flowing into your life - you will find something very interesting that will start to happen. You'll start to see the difference between the knowledge and wisdom of God versus the knowledge and wisdom of this world. Planetary Alignment Planetary Alignment is said to have magical powers. Some believe during these rare occurrences those living in that time-period have the ability to change things. Other believe that Planetary Alignment can cause catastrophic seismic activity changing gravity waves and causing hell on Earth with Volcanoes and Earthquakes. We are pretty sure that even a complete alignment of the Planets since they are so far apart will not cause any major shifts here on Earth. Yet many believe that there is ... God's People Are Destroyed For Lack of Knowledge These next two verses are extreme - and I mean extreme! These two verses are telling us that God's people are literally, and I mean literally, being destroyed for lack of knowledge. The second verse below says that God's people can literally go into captivity as a result of not having the right amount of knowledge about something. Life as Simulator Recently I met an interesting Gentleman at a Coffee Shop, Robert V. Ries, was his name. Bob expressed to me that he felt our life experience was nothing more than a really good simulator which put us into organic bodies to experience the Earthlings Realm and to test our will and strength of character in a variety of situations. He went on to say that we were interacting with many other is the same simulator. We talked for hours and his theories seemed somewhat far-fetched, although he did go ... Lance Armstrong Had It Right -every Second Counts Yes, you have your priorities for the year and yes you are working on balancing the meaningful tasks verses the trivial, but what about the attitude that goes along with it? At the beginning it’s easy to be motivated to spend time on areas that mean the most to us, yet what happens when the flame gets smaller and the fire that once burned has slowly lost it’s glow? What happens when our attitude toward God has less dependence upon him and more on our attitude that we don’t need him as much ... Faith Like A Child Have you ever just stopped and watched a child play? Have you ever told a Bible story and sat back in amazement at how much that child retains and is then able to cite back to you? What about asking a child the simple question, “Who made us?” God-beings In The Making! Jesus was sent to Earth to deliver a Message to mankind. A startling message from Outer Space - the third Heaven - from our CREATOR GOD. A correct understanding of what that REVELATION is - the one and only true Gospel - separates God's Church from all others, and exalts the pure religion above every false way! (John. 17:17). Is There Really A Difference Among Believers Is there a difference between the Believer who goes to Church every Sunday and the one who doesn't? What about the believers who believe in water baptism and those who don't? Are we confused as a Christian population? Why all the different brands? What difference is there really among believer? Let us look at the Word of God for our answers. The Rape Of Israel The Rape of Israel. As with the disobedience of the gentile race of people all things must come to a climax. Spiritually and Physically. The times of the Gentiles is almost over. The Last things to be done on behalf of the Gentiles is to ravish Israel. When they shall say Peace and Safety, Then sudden destruction shall come upon them. The world blames Israel for all its problems, many have tried to destroy Her by War and by Terrorism and by Sanctions. World opinion is also been a great tool in ... Pope Must Return Temple Treasures! The Jews have prayed for 2,000 years to again see the Temple upon the Temple Mount. It's past time for prayers alone: ACTION is necessary to put faith into practice! Are You Discouraged? Are you discouraged? Feeling down and out? Wondering why you should even bother trying to live the Christian life anymore, especially since you seem such a failure? Who hasn't felt worthless at times? Who hasn't grown impatient with themselves and felt sick over their lack of spiritual progress? (Lk. 8:15). YOU'RE NOT ALONE! We all go through those valleys of the shadow of death. But take courage: the way must lead up again soon! "Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are ... Scriptural Prayer For Guidance Dear Lord, 1. We lack wisdom. We ask you for wisdom, knowing you will give it to us generously. (James 1:5) 2. Teach us your ways, that we may walk in your paths. (Isaiah 2:3) 3. Instruct us and teach us in the way we should go. Counsel us and watch over us. (Psalm 32:8) 4. No matter which way we turn, cause us to hear your voice saying, "This is the way; walk in it." (Isaiah 30:21) 5. In our hearts we may plan our own course, but we ask you to determine our steps. (Proverbs 16:9) 6. ... Remember The Sabbath Did you ever stop to think why Christians keep Sunday? Did they get it from the Bible? Is there a clear-cut command that says, "Thou shalt keep Sunday?" Why did Jesus worship on Saturday? Was it only because He was a good Jew? Or does it go beyond that? Does it make any difference which day we observe, as long as we keep one day in seven? What does the Bible actually say? "And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day....Then God blessed the ... Onward Christian Soldiers! Why did ancient Israel have an army? Was it because they didn't have faith? Did they believe in themselves instead of trusting God? Did they insist on fighting their own battles, rather than let God wage war for them? Falsehoods There are many different church denominations in this year of 2005 that is offering same sex marriage. This is an abomination before God. Lets see what the Bibles say about this matter. Look at Matthew 7:15 it says Watch out for false prophets. They come to you sheep ‘s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad ... Moses v. Jesus: Why do Conservative Christians Prefer Moses' Commandments to Jesus' Beatitudes? Why are conservative Christians so concerned about displaying the Ten Commandments in public and especially in courtrooms? Imagining The Life Of Mary, Mother Of Jesus So little is said about Mary, the mother of Jesus, in the Gospels. We can only imagine her thoughts and feelings as she went from being a simple Jewish girl to the mother of the Son of God. In "Shalom, Mary: Letters the Blessed Virgin Might have Written", Kathleen Culligan Techler has done just that. This is indeed a work of fiction. Obviously, no one but Mary herself (and God above) know what the experience was like for her. Yet, in reading "Shalom, Mary", one gets the sense that it might have ... He's Faithful Every morning I wake up to the sound of chirping birds, singing their love songs to God. I often wonder how it is that birds are so cheerful, even on cloudy days. When the skies were overcast and I wanted nothing more than just to sleep, even the sound of those cheerful birds didn’t rouse me. Practicing Early Time With God “Spending time with God is something every Christian woman should set aside time for.” Perhaps this is a fairly common statement that we’ve heard all too often. We all know this to be true, and yet it still seems to be a most incredible struggle to obtain that blessed time with God each and every day of our lives. So, how do we wear all the hats and still have time to be still and quiet in God’s presence? How do we make the time to sit quietly before our Savior when our toddlers are ... I Live By Demetria Zinga I stood still Inwardly fighting All that I had was taken away My heart as stone, cold as ice Another man’s paradise Was my tomb. I died. Inwardly fighting I thought never to see a brighter day I thought to recoil within my shell Forever my mind relived the hell Of another man’s paradise My death. My tomb. Until… I felt the heat of a light so bright Bursting its flame upon my life Giving me energy, giving me life Giving me strength for another fight I lived. God of the ... Mom's Joy “Mom, what am I going to do?” I moaned as I shared with my mother my woes of the hour. I was working a full time job and my heart was aching to be home with my daughter instead. This was a pretty difficult decision for me, especially since my job was providing a source of financial security for me and my family. Without it, we would definitely be in a rut to make ends meet. Very calmly she replied “Did you seek the Lord about it?” “Yes!” I cried, “and, well…I’m just not sure that He’d ... The Anxiety Club “How am I going to make it? What am I going to do? Where will we get the money?” Do these questions sound familiar to you? Are they perhaps, questions you’ve asked recently? Then welcome to the club. I call it the Anxiety Club. We’ve all been part of that club at some point in our lives. There are moments when bills need to be paid, but the money is no where to be found. Situations occur in our lives, and we have to make really tough decisions that affect everyone involved. Sometimes we don’t ... |
